Storytelling enhances children's imagination and helps them learn and experience new things. It also improves their problem-solving skills as they imagine themselves in different scenarios. Storytelling even aids in language development, literacy, and memory.

Suggest to families that they try telling their children - at any age - stories about their family history or culture, made up stories about fictional characters and places, and stories about their children as they've grown.
