Keeping Gratitude All Year Long

February 12, 2025

Gratitude practices aren't only for holiday time. Try suggesting to families to try to infuse a gratitude practice into their regular routines with their children. And start by modeling it.

Here's what you can do in practice:
Try opening each visit with something you're grateful for like, "I'm so grateful you made it," or, "I'm so lucky to get to see you   both today." You can even try something like, "I feel grateful to be your doctor." Gratitude is contagious AND it's good for you. See if it can positively impact your stress level, make the day more pleasant, and help build rapport with your patients.
